Outsourcing: Advantages and Disadvantages

Outsourcing is when labor for one country is done in another country.

Advantages of Outsourcing:

1. Cheaper labor
2. New market of workers
3. More workers available
4. Possibility for more specialized labor
5. Less land used in your own country

Disadvantages of Outsourcing

1. Labor is seen as too cheap
2. Workers are often in harsh conditions
3. Child labor more prevalent
4. Fewer jobs domestically
5. Unemployment goes up in domestic country
